Working Intern / Volunteer
Do you have a passion for horses? Are you interested in earning volunteer or internship hours? Hillary Carlson, LLC would like to meet you! We have openings for unpaid, working internships that can provide you with a wealth of experience, knowledge and meet educational requirements at the same time!
Our qualified candidates must have reliable transportation to and from the stables. The individual must be currently enrolled in an educational/schooling program and be a minimum of 18 years of age. You must be available to work on Sunday mornings and have a willingness to assist at horse shows on site and elsewhere.
You will have the opportunity to learn from and work directly with the owner and gain knowledge and experience in the equestrian field and daily operations of an equine facility.

*This is an unpaid internship. The facility is insured, but interns would not be covered by owner’s Worker’s Compensation Liability policy.
*Successful candidates are welcome to provide stable and internship information to their academic institutions or organizations. The owner will provide any documentation required to verify internship or volunteer experience to support curriculum.
The learning experiences and opportunities that come with an internship with Hillary Carlson, LLC will be a great addition to any college application, resume or supplemental education and course credit.
You will be working directly with the owner of the stables, as she prepares each day to care for the horses, perform lessons and care for the boarded horses and ponies.
You will see the daily operations of a fully-equipped and operational equine stable operation.

Hillary Carlson was amazing in working with our twins for their first lessons. Both of our girls have special needs and she exceeded our expectations in how she treated them. We are grateful that she was their first experience, we have found our long-term coach!

She wants to be more involved with other things and is just so happy in general. Hillary has an amazing gift for teaching these young children with her horses. I see such bright eyes and the want to learn when we're there. If you're on the fence about starting lessons, I highly recommend her program!!! Hillary is truly amazing!!!
